JI to support Javed Hashmi as presidential candidate: Liaquat Baloch
August 24, 2008 Central leader of Jamaat-e-Islami, Liaquat Baloch said on Sunday his party would support Javed Hashmi as candidate for the president of Pakistan. Talking to a private TV channel, Baloch said Javed Hashmi wrote the history against the dictator. He opined that Zardari had become controversial even before the presidential election and termed his nomination not suitable for symbol of federation.
