No-trust move against Naib Nazim

LAHORE - Jamhoori Group comprising the PML-N, PPP and Jamat-e-Islami on Wednesday tabled a no-trust move against District Naib Nazim, Idrees Hanif.
Opposition leader in the District Council, Muhammad Akbar Khan, tabled the move in this regard during the budget session. It was seconded by the opposition member Muhammad Ilyas Khan.
Akbar Khan alleged in the move that Idrees Hanif has lost the confidence of council members because of his failure to summon the district council meetings on monthly basis, support to his brother in last general elections by utilising the funds of CDG, his connections with land grabbers group, a factor that climaxed into the sealing of his commercial plaza and his unfriendly behaviour with members. Idrees Hanif said that the move would be treated as per the rules and regulations.
