Lawyers weekly protest losing momentum

On the other hand, the lawyers also failed to observe complete boycott of PCO judges on Thursday despite all-out efforts made by the office-bearers of the LHCBA.
The plans of imposing boycott of courts on lawyers by some implementation committees has failed long ago but despite that the office bearers of LHCBA appealed lawyers to respect boycott call on Thursday. But majority of lawyers are out of the pressure of the office bearers of LHCBA and they remained busy in dealing their clients and appearing before the judges of the Lahore High Court fearlessly.
Senior lawyers sat in the Kiyani hall of the Lahore High Court and expressed solidarity with deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and other deposed judges who did not take oath under the PCO.
Majority of lawyers remained ‘busy’ in their routine activities in the courts and meetings with their clients. Many of them were seen not interested in the boycott of the court due the culminating effects of the Long March on June 13. However, despite all warnings and motivations for staying away from the court of the PCO judges for the restoration of deposed judges many lawyers dared to appeared in the courts and held meetings with their clients.
