Cellular Co given time to get NOC to install tower

LAHORE - As the environment protection department told the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday that the NOC had not been granted to the cellular company to install its tower. Therefore the court gave time to the company to get the NCO till next date of hearing.

Justice Ali Akbar Qureshi of the LHC was hearing a petition filed by Naseer Ahmed of Toba Tek Singe who challenged the construction of the tower terming it illegal and dangerous for the health of the neighbouring people.

On the court’s direction district officer environment of Toba Tek Sindh through his written reply submitted that the company applied for the NOC but neither Rs 10,000 paid nor it pursued its case therefore so far no NOC was granted.
