PPP may quit Punjab Govt if denied share
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER September 24, 2008 LAHORE-The PPP leader and Senior Minister in Punjab cabinet, Raja Riaz on Wednesday reiterated his party’s stance that PPP may review its decision to sit in Punjab Government if the PML-N did not give its due share of power.
Briefing newsmen after a meeting of party’s parliamentary committee here, he said that PPP entered into dialogue with the PML-N after an assurance from the Punjab Chief Minister that PPP would be given its share of power in Punjab on the basis of 40-60 formula.
Raja Riaz, who was accompanied by other PPP ministers including Tanvir Ashraf Kaira, Haji Ehsan-ud-Din Qureshi and Yousaf Ghurki, further said that PPP may review its decision to remain part of Punjab Government if the PML-N fails to translate its pledges into reality.
