PPP may quit Punjab Govt if denied share
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER September 24, 2008 He said all issues including those of PPP’s share in cabinet, its say in matters of transfers and postings of senior officers and allocation of development funds had been placed before the PML-N, and his party was now waiting for practical steps in this regard. The issue of getting the portfolios of Health and Communications for the PPP had also been raised with the PML-N leaders, he added. Replying to a question, he said that PPP had, in a message sent to Punjab CM, shown its willingness to quit Punjab Government, but the CM replied that he wanted the coalition with PPP to continue.
Responding to a question, he said neither his party had any complaints against Punjab chief secretary, nor the issues of replacement of Punjab Governor was discussed in the first round of talks with PML-N leadership.
