People ambivalent about coalition split
By IQTIDAR GILANI August 26, 2008 LAHORE - People have expressed mixed views over the PML-N’s separation from the ruling coalition, some saying that Nawaz Sharif has stuck to his principled stance while others say that the decision can inflict irreparable damages to the six-month-old democracy.
Some persons say that the split in the ruling coalition was written on the wall once their common enemy Pervez Musharraf was out of power corridors.
Majority of the people supported the stance of Mian Nawaz Sharif, saying that the decision was justified as Asif Zardari thrice failed to honour the promises of restoring the deposed judges.
