Notions, ideals precious heritage of nation
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER June 26, 2008 LAHORE - The Federal Shariat Court Chief Justice (r) Mian Mehboob Ahmad has said that the aim of creating Pakistan was that Muslims of Sub-continent could lead their lives according to the teachings of Islam. Had our ancestors not struggled for having a separate country, we would also have been living in precarious conditions like Indian Muslims. We should thank Almighty God for this independence and should leave no stone unturned to gain prosperity and integrity of the country.
He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of Nazriati Summer School held under the auspices of Nazria-i-Pakistan Trust on Wednesday here at Aiwan-e-Karkunan-e-Tehreek-e-Pakistan. Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran was the chief guest on the occasion.
Jutice Mehboob said that Nazriati Summer School was educating adolescent students in such a way that they could serve the country after coming into practical life in accordance with the doctrines of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Poet of the East Allama Mohammad Iqbal.
