Committee formed for increasing young doctors' stipend
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER October 25, 2008 LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said that government will take all possible steps for resolution of problems being faced by the doctors and decision for increasing stipend of young doctors has been taken in principle and a special committee comprising of Secretary Health and doctors has been constituted in this regard which will not only submit its recommendations for increasing doctors’ salaries but also ensure provision of best and timely medical facilities to the patients and improving the condition of the hospitals.
He said this while talking to a delegation of young doctors, says a handout issued here on Saturday. The delegation consisted of Dr Lala Rukh, Dr Sonia Iqtidar, Dr Sardar Muhammad Ali Ayyaz, Dr Rana Suhail, Dr Salman Kazmi and Dr Syed Nasir. MPAs Dr Asad Ashraf, Dr Ahmad Hussain Dahar, Dr Saeed Elahi and Secretary Health were also present on this occasion.
