Demise creates vacuum in realm of words
August 27, 2008 LAHORE - One of Pakistan’s greatest poets Ahmed Faraz death has left a vacuum in the literary scene that may takes ages to fill.
The death has left the literary and scholarly circles in a state of sadness and they continued to ponder over the question as to what situation would emerge in the realm of words wherein few poets are left that have wide following life Faraz. The legendary poet was considered the greatest revolutionary poet after Faiz Ahmed Faiz. Top singers have sung a number of his ghazals. His ghazal poetry is both romantic and soothing while his political and revolutionary poems are inspiring and soul stirring.
