Demise creates vacuum in realm of words
August 27, 2008 Poet Khalid Ahmed overwhelmed with grief while talking to The Nation said Faraz would continue to live in the hearts of people. “The work he has left behind will ensure that he will live long in the world of words. He would continue to inspire the coming generations of poets
“Generally the masses are now far away from the literature. Poets even today continue to write inspiring poems. It is luck whether these are read by people and understood. Faraz was well read by people. The wave that began with Faiz and in which Faraz made a huge contribution would not stop. It would continue just like the life itself,” Ahmed was of the view.
