Irregularities in LDA still unchecked

LDA’s godowns and shops in Shah Alam gate were also awarded on lease on throwaway prices. The property included 475-E I on Rs 2069, 475 E-2, on Rs 1073, 475 E-3 on Rs 865, 575 E-4 on Rs 865 and six godowns in Peer Mehal on Rs 3543, Rs 7013, Rs 7782, Rs 3548, Rs 2069, Rs 2069 respectively were leased out annually. Four rooms in Shah Alam gate on Rs 8706, two houses each on Rs 2069 were rented out. Five shops rented out on Rs 5891 in Moori gate annually. Two shops in Azal Clothe Market on Rs 10511, one shop Rs 10521 and one house on Rs 2010 were rented out annually.

Whereas, LDA leased out 31 petrol pumps at important sites of city on throwaway prices. On the issue of deciding new lease charges, LDA and those running petrol pumps are involved in legal war. Those petrol pumps leased include Plot No 44 Sabzazar, 4 civic centre Jahor Town, 90C -2 Gulberg, 160 Chanab block Allama Iqbal Town, 2 civic center Garden Town, 5-Q Model Town, 30-B Faisal Town, 123 Rachna Block Allama Iqbal Town, Commercial Zone Sabzazar 6-A block, F-2 Johar Town, 44 b-3 Johar Town, 919 block R-1 Johar Town, I-Civic Centre Sabzazar, 96-Civic Center Johar Town, 55-A Commercial Zone Allama Iqbal Town, I-Civic Center Garden Town, 18-Jahanzeb Block Allama Iqbal Town, 2-Civic Center Gulshan Ravi, 288-Khaiber block Allama Iqbal Town, 22-A Kashmir Block Allama Iqbal Town, 414 Gulshan block Allama Iqbal Town, Liberty Market, Timber Market, Maulana Shaukat Ali Road, I-Civic Center Allama Iqbal Town, 395 B-1 Johar Town, 390 D-2 Johar Town, 90-A Civic Center Faisal Town, Gulberg II, 44.7 Kanal land of Dongi ground leased out on Rs. 133000 to Punjab entertainment company, Johar Town Expo centre spreading 400 kanal leased out on Rs 16,66,000.
