N-war with India better than dying in desert state

Begum Mehnaz Rafi said there should be movies on luminaries of Pakistan Movement in such an attractive way that common people could get some lesson from them. She also advised that workshops and seminars regarding two-nation theory should also be conducted in other provinces also.

Begum Surriya K.H. Khurshid said with other core issues, we have had another big issue in the shape of Indian dams to make Pakistan desert. “Madar-e-Millat Fatima Jinnah had opposed General Ayub when he gifted Pakistani rivers to India,” she said.

Prof Rafiq Alam said peace day is being celebrated all over the world on October 12 every year so we should create awareness among common people through seminars and workshops that Quaid-i-Azam was the apostle of peace while Gandhi was a demagogic politician. Col (Retd) Ikramullah said advisory council of NPT should be given some responsibilities so that its members could play their due role.

Former Vice-Chancellor Islamia University Bahawalpur Prof Abdul Qayyum Qureshi suggested that NPT’s chairs should be established in different universities of Pakistan and Dr Qadeer Khan should be made Vice-Chancellor of an ideological university.

Dr Saeed Malik said we should use media platform to confront Indian cultural war to save our ideological foundations.

Allama Ch Asghar Ali Kousar Warraich said there should be four educational committees in Advisory Council who consult educationists of four provinces to formulate a universal syllabus for Pakistan.

While presenting last three months activity report, Secretary NPT Shahid Rasheed said Punjab Assembly had passed the bill for the restoration of Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust with the tire1ess efforts of NPT Chairman Majid Nizami and informed that on every national issue and national day, NPT hold seminars and workshops in which intellectuals and experts from different educational institutions along with male and female students were invited to participate. He said on the occasion of Independence Day a 10-day festivity was celebrated in Trust premises.

He said to create nationalism and enthusiasm in new generation the Trust has started “Pakistan Awareness Programme” in 2006 which arranged lectures on two-nation theory and reasons with objectives of Pakistan in different educational institutions along with deeni maddaris. He said Ideological Summer School also received over 1000 applications but due lack of space only 250 students were given admission.
