SHC judges' fresh oath 'a betrayal to lawyers drive'

LAHORE - Lawyers fraternity have expressed ‘sorrow’ over the fresh oath taking of eight Sindh High Court judges terming it a betrayal to their movement, which is for a just cause of independent judiciary.

President Supreme Court Bar Association, Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan said for him and the community, Justice Sabihud Din Ahmad was still the Chief Justice of Sindh High Court. He said legal fraternity over the last nine months has been struggling for the reinstatement of the judges during which they suffered every torture but did not lose heart. But the eight judges of SHC left them when the movement was about to bear fruit.
