LAHORE-The PPP legislators on Thursday halted official assembly business for around an hour to press for their demand to suspend DCO, Mandibahauddin, who, they alleged, misbehaved with their two colleagues belonging to that district.
After start of Thursday’s assembly sitting, PPP’s Hassan Murtaza stood on a point of order and drew Speaker’s attention towards alleged ill-treatment of DCO, Mandibahauddin, Waheed Akhtar Ansari with two PPP legislators, Tariq Mahmood Sahi and Asif Bashir Bhagat. It happened when the two visited him in his office a few days back in connection with some problem in their constituency, but the officer pushed them out of his office and later locked the door from inside after exchange of hot words, he further said.
Hassan demanded suspension and transfer of DCO within one hour, otherwise, he threatened, PPP MPA’s would not let the House to start its official business. He said the aggrieved assembly members did not bring privilege motion in the assembly against the rough attitude of the DCO, because it was a grave matter beyond the breach of their privilege.
