Sit-in against police causes traffic mess on The Mall

LAHORE - Motorists suffered massive traffic mess on some main arteries of the City including The Mall when hundreds of demonstrators gathered out side the Governor’s House and gave a sit-in to record their strong protest against the police of Mandi Faizabad on Monday.

Traffic remained suspended for hours as the police officials lead by the SP Civil Lines failed to convince the angry mob mostly women who came on some tractor trolleys and gathered outside the Governor’s House. Heavy contingent of police of nearby police stations lead by senior police officers including the SP Civil Lines reached the spot and held negotiations with the agitators.

PML (N) MPA Muhsan Latif also reached the Governor’s House when the furious people refused to leave the place unless their demands were not fulfilled.
