'Musharraf killed Bugti for criticising his policies'
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER August 29, 2008 LAHORE - Former Deputy Speaker in National Assembly and PPP leader Sardar Wazir Ahmad Jogezai has said that Musharraf killed Nawab Akbar Bugti only for the reason that later criticised Musharraf’s wrong policies. He said problems of Balochistan could not be solved while sitting in Islamabad and one would have to visit Balochistan for this.
He expressed these views in an exclusive interview with The Nation and daily Nawa-i-Waqt here on Thursday.
He claimed that Sardars of Balochistan including, Qaazi Muhammad Essa, Nawab Muhammad Usman Jogezai, sardar Ghulam Ahanmd Khan Tareen, Mali Jan Muhammad Qasim, Agha Syed Salah-ud-Din and Sardar Jaffer Khna Jamali played their vital role for dissemination of the message of Muslim League in Balochistan and for its affiliation with Pakistan during Pakistan Movement. For the backwardness of Balochistan not only federal but also provincial government itself was also responsible as due to poverty it could collect less taxes.
