Zardari not withdrawing from presidential race

LAHORE - General Secretary Pakistan Peoples Party, Jehangir Badr on Friday said that party has finalised the name of party Co-chairman, Asif Ali Zardari as its presidential candidate and there was no possibility of his withdrawing the nomination papers under any pressure.

While addressing a news conference here at Lahore Press Club along with party’s Punjab Secretary General Ghulam Abbas, the PPP leader said that party’s central executive committee has finalised Asif Zardari’s name as presidential candidate, and there was no truth in rumors that he would withdraw from the race at the last moment.
