Halaku Khan was Taliban of his time, says Governor

LAHORE -Governor Punjab Salman Taseer has said that all the societies are developed on the basis of education and no country can prosper and progress without maintaining the highest standards of education.
“It is a must for introducing new arenas of knowledge that the new generation should accept good ideas open-mindedly sand entertaining any biases. Moreover, we must learn from others’ experiences, and develop the capacity of pragmatism for making the world understand our point of view.”
He was addressing the 7th convocation of Government College University held here on Saturday at the Bokhari auditorium. Salman Taseer and Vice-Chancellor GCU Dr. Khalid Aftab awarded medals and degrees. At the convocation, 834 degrees were awarded in various disciplines.
