Judges' oath betrayal to movement, say lawyers

LAHORE - Legal fraternity has strongly condemned the act of four deposed judges of the Lahore High Court who took fresh oath for their restoration here on Saturday.

President Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) Anwar Kamal condemning the act of these judges said that the lawyers would recognise them as PCO judges.

He said these judges had betrayed the lawyer’s movement as well as the whole nation, however, he maintained that lawyers’ moral was still high and the movement would be continued till the restoration of deposed chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.

Kamal said the lawyers and political workers had sacrificed their lives for the restoration of deposed judges but some people getting tired of side stepped.
