Shahbaz orders arrest of DSP, culprits
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER August 31, 2008 LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said Saturday he would not rest content until oppression and injustice was eliminated from the society, and problems of the people would be resolved for he was elected by the people for this purpose.
He ordered immediate arrest of DSP and other police officials guilty of dereliction of duty in the murder case of two real brothers in a nearby village of Pakpattan. He announced financial assistance of Rs 0.5 million for the family of a 10-year-old rape victim and announced that the government will bear educational expenditure of the unfortunate girl.
He was talking to the affected families in Chak No 5 KB of district Pakpattan on Saturday. MNAs and MPAs and Provincial Police Officer were also present on the occasion.
Talking to the mother and the family of the two real brothers who had been murdered, the Chief Minister said the killers had committed a heinous crime and they would not escape from punishment. He said demands of justice would be fulfilled.
