POA to hold boxing body elections on 20th

KARACHI - The Pakistan Olympic Association has announced to hold quadrennial elections of the suspended Pakistan Boxing Federation in the city on December 20 at a local hotel.
The PSB and the POA jointly had suspended Prof. Anwar Chaudhry led PBF after it failed to hold election in time on July 25 last year.
The Pakistan Boxing Federation breached its own rule when it failed to hold elections held every four years in time and extended its official tenure by setting November 18 as the date for the elections. But the POA and the PSB taking note in the delay of the elections suspended the PBF and had declared that the POA would announce the fresh date of elections and conduct the elections.
The PBF officials had earlier denied suspension of their body but failed to hold their elections on its own date on November 18.
