Kumble announces to retire from Test cricket

Anil Kumble, captain of the Indian Test cricket team, has decided on Sunday to retire from Test cricket with immediate effect, after the third Test. Today is the fifth and the final day of the third Test, being played at the Feroze Shah Kotla ground in New Delhi. Kumble had already retired from one-day cricket. The 38-year-old leg-break googly bowler has so far played 132 Test matches and obtained 619 wickets besides scoring 2,506 runs.
