Sweta Solanki of India, Sara Mahboob Khan of Pakistan, Shin Jung Yoon of Korea,
Prathana Prathap of India, Poojshree Venkatesha of India advanced in the top-eight
stage of the ongoing 2nd Leg of ITF Pakistan Women's Futures Tennis Tournament
by beating their respective opponents at PTF Tennis Complex, Garden Avenue
Islamabad.
Pakistan number one inked new Pakistan's record by getting the berth in the
quarter-finals of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) tennis event. She became
first Pakistani tennis woman, who qualified for the quarterfinal of the ITF Women's
Future Tennis Tournament. She outplayed Arthi of India in straight sets with the
score-line of 6-4, 6-2.
Sara Mehboob Khan won the first set at 6-4 by breaking 2nd game of Arthi by playing
powerful consistent game from the baseline. Sara kept the same pressure in the
second set and played mixed game and won the second set convincingly at 6-2 and
moved into the quarterfinal of the international tennis competition. She was being
