PHF calls 37 probables for four-nation hockey

LAHORE - The Pakistan Hockey Federation has called 37 national hockey probables for the national training camp which will commence from September 5 at the Hockey Club of Pakistan in Karachi. The camp will conclude on September 30 and the team will then leave for Germany.

The selection committee had picked 39 players for the camp but two players who took part in the Beijing Olympics, have shown their inability for next month's tournament in Germany.

Right winger Waqas Akbar and left winger Haider Abbas have told the PHF that since they would be playing league abroad in the coming months and it would not be possible for them to be part of the national team.
