Pakistan team resume practice

Akhtar returned to Pakistan team after nearly 18 months only due to his on and off field chunks that got him involved in disciplinary inquiries.

Opener Salman Butt, who have underwent appendices operation, and Shahid Afridi having elbow injury, will to take part in the practice matches. Both these players have been asked to rest for about 20 days before taking part in any physical activity.

Other than that, Bazid Khan, Yasser Arafat and Azhar Ali would also not take part in the practice matches as they are playing league cricket in England.

These matches will start at 4 pm and the team will be announced on August 11.
