Twenty-20 World Cup when they recorded a last ball four-wicket win over England at Lord's on Friday (June 5). It was Holland's third victory in five Twenty-20 international matches.
** Holland also became the 13th team to play in Twenty-20 World Cup. South Africa (five matches), West Indies (two matches), New Zealand (six matches), Kenya (two matches), Pakistan (seven matches), Scotland (two matches), Zimbabwe (two matches), Australia (six matches), Bangladesh (five matches), India (seven matches), Sri Lanka (five matches) and England (five matches) were the other teams to play in Twenty-20 World Cup before Holland.
** Holland's last ball win was first in Twenty-20 World Cup and only second in 90 Twenty-20 international matches. New Zealand was the first team to record last ball win in Twenty-20 international match. They defeated India by five wickets on the final ball at Wellington on February 27,2009.
** Ravi Bopara and Luke Wright equalled the record of highest partnership for England in Twenty-20 cricket by adding 102 runs for the opening wicket. Paul Collingwood and Owais Shah also put on 102 runs for the fifth wicket against New Zealand at Christchuch on February 7,2008. Luke Wright and Phil Mustard who added 65 runs against New Zealand at Christchurch on February 7,2008 held the previous record of best opening stand for England in Twenty-20 international matches.
** Holland recorded their highest ever total in Twenty-20 cricket by making 163 for six in 20 overs. Their previous was 153 for five in 20 overs against Kenya at Belfast on August 2,2008.
** The 50-run fourth wicket stand between Tom de Grooth and Peter Borren was Holland's best ever in Twenty-20 cricket. Darron Reekers and Eric Szwarczynski who added 49 runs for the opening wicket against Kenya at Belfast on August 2, 2008, held the previous record.
** Luke Wright recorded his highest score in Twenty-20 cricket by making 71 off 49 balls with eight fours. His previous highest was 30 off 19 balls with five fours and a six against New Zealand at Christchurch on February 7,2008. Luke Wright's 71 was the second highest individual score for England in Twenty-20 World Cup after Kevin Pietersen's 79 against Zimbabwe at Cape Town on September 13,2007. It was also England's highest individual score in Twenty-20 cricket.
