Law Minister says new committee could run PCB affairs
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER October 5, 2008 LAHORE - Federal Law Minister Farooq H Naek on Sunday said the government was considering to form a five-member cricket committee which would run the affairs of the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Addressing a news conference after a meeting with former test cricketers Ramiz Raja, Wasim Akram, Inzamam ul Haq, Saeed Anwar and Mushtaq Ahmad and others, he said a new chairman would soon be appointed in the PCB. The meeting continued for almost an hour in which former cricketers gave suggestions for the betterment of the game .
APP adds: "It was very good meeting in which the former Test cricketers expressed their concern over the downfall of the game and the situation we are facing in which foreign teams are not visiting Pakistan," he said.
