Proteas start off favourites
Many rate South Africa as one of title favourites as they have a balanced unit and have the eagerness to win an ICC event which they haven't thus far.
Today South Africans will be firm favourites but wouldn't be taking the Scots lightly. Although Scotland lost all their warm-up matches but they have some players who can cause trouble on their day. Captain Gavin Hamilton is one while batsman Kyle Coetzer is another. Proteas on the end are a well rounded unit and in-form as well. Players like Smith, Kallis, de Villiers and Steyn will be the ones most likely to damage Scots in this game. In the end South Africa mustn't have much problem in beating Scotland but the latter will surely take heart from Netherlands upsetting of England on Friday and try and emulate them.
