Germany trounce Pakistan to win Hamburg Masters
October 6, 2008 KARACHI (APP) - World and Olympic Champion Germany showed their scoring fire powers on the final day of 4-nation Hamburg Masters Hockey Tournament at Hamburg (Germany) on Sunday by trouncing Pakistan 6-1, according to information made available by Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) here.
Germans proved too good in the opening session as they forged 5-0 ahead. Shakeel Abbasi scored his team's consolation goal late in the second session.
Malaysian finished second, Pakistan secured third spot and Belgium fourth and last Pakistan team is return home on Tuesday after taking part in the competition.
