India spoil Pakistan party with massive win
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER May 10, 2008 LAHORE - India women cricketers showed their Pakistan counterparts their class with a massive 207 runs win in the Women Asia Cup at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Friday.
They ruined the Pakistan team's Thursday's celebrations where they had recorded a big win over Bangladesh in which Javeria Khan set bowling record.
Reports received here said that the Indian women with the help of three half centuries produced 283 for three in allotted 50 overs and later reduced Pakistan for just 76 in 33.3 overs. And for that effort credit went to Pradhan and David, who shared three wickets each from the Indian bowling attack while Gosawami got two and Sutalana had one.
J Sharma, M Raj, R Dhar made 74, 62 and 51 respectively while the latter two remained not out. A little contribution of 38 runs also came from AA Deshpande.
Pakistan's highest scorer was Javeria with 20 runs while Urooj and Sana got one wicket each.
