Sports Minister meets Pakistan contingent in Beijing

ISLAMABAD - Federal Minister for Sports Najmuddin Khan and Federal Secretary Ministry of Sports Muhammad Ashraf Khan visited Olympic village on Sunday to meet the Pakistan contingent participating in the 29th Olympic Games being held at Beijing, China.

The 35-member Pakistan contingent reached Beijing a week before the start of world's greatest sports extravaganza to fully acclimatize them.

The minister and the secretary advised them to make extraordinary efforts to stand out in this prestigious global sports gala.

Addressing the national sportspersons, the minister announced that medal winners will be awarded cash prizes.
