Farhan, Aamir to play in North American Squash

ISLAMABAD Pakistan No.1 Aamir Atlas Khan and Farhan Mehboob Khan have got berths in the main round of the North American Open Squash Championship scheduled to be rolled off from February 21 at Richmond, USA.
Aamir Atlas will face a qualifier in the first round of the prestigious international squash event. The championship is pursuing US$93, 000 prize money. Pakistan No.2 squash player Farhan will meet Thierry Lincou from France in the first round. Aamir is at 13 rung in the seeding of the championship.
Egyptian lad Rammy Ashour is the top seeded player of the championship while English boy Nick Matthew is second seed. However, the main draw will be consisted of 32 players. As many as eight players will get the berth in the main draw after showing acceptable results in the qualifying round, which will be started from February 17 at same venue.
Meanwhile, Aamir Atlas said that he would produce remarkable results in the Championship 2010. I was hundred percent fit during the 11th South Asian Games competition and I won both individual and team events for Pakistan. Now I am focusing on squash showpiece in USA, he said.
I will meet World No.1 Ramy Ashour of Egypt in the second round and I am confident I will topple him. Last year, I defeated world number one Gregory Gaultier at Doha, Qatar. I will try to repeat the performance against the Egyptian Ramy Ashour, he said.
