Malik praises team on reaching final
October 12, 2008 TORONTO (Agencies) - Pakistan cricket captain, Shoaib Malik attributes the success of reaching the final in Toronto T20 tournament with the young team who beat Sri Lanka in a thrilling manner.
"It was a collective effort made by the players who turned the table on the opponents at a time when the situation was quite difficult for us at 91 for 7," he said. He said Fawad Alam impressed with stroke play and led to success with one b all remaining. "I want to give credit to the younger ones with such fine performances when they are in the process of blending themselves in fine cricketers," he shared.
