En Vogue breeze to victory on Mawaz' day

LAHORE – En Vogue Furniture eased to a 11 3 1-1/2 goals over a struggling Master Paints in the final of the Royal Fans Cup at the Aibak ground of the Lahore Polo Club here on Sunday.
Led by seven goals from Taimur Mawaz Khan, En Vogue dominated right from the start and did not allow their rivals to recover. The younger Mawaz, Hamza, was also impressive as he scored two goals. The losing team enjoyed one-and-a-half goal handicap before the start of the match and except for a goal apiece from Atif Tiwana and Khawaja Waleed Zubair, failed to so much of a resistance.
At one stage En Vogue led the match by 7-0 and the first goal from Master Paints goal came off the stick of Atif Tiwana.
En Vogue led the first chukker 4-0 and were up by 7-1 by the close of the second chukker. In the four goal third chukker, Taimur Mawaz Khan hit a hat-trick whereas Master Paints converted their last goal through Khawaja Waleed Zubair.
In the fourth chukker Taimur Mawaz scored one field goal to make the scoring look even more awesome. Usman Haye and Naveed Shiekh officiated the match.
Earlier in the match for the third position, MCB defeated title sponsors Royal Fans by 7 goals to 4 1/2. Hashim Kamal Agha scored four goals and Amer Munawar hit two.
In the end chief guest Senior Advisor to the Chief Minister Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa gave away prizes to the winners.
