Aqeel crashes out of ITF Futures Tennis

ISLAMABAD - Fourth seed local tennis player Aqeel Khan succumbed to Englishman Maniel Bains in straight sets 0-2 in the second round of the ongoing ITF Pakistan Future International Tennis Tournament here on Wednesday at PTF Tennis Complex.

Maniel Bains sank the only hope of hosts beating the only Pakistani player of the second round in straight sets 2-0 with scoreline 6-3 and 7-5. He played excellent game of tennis and hit powerful services and did not allow his local opponent to settle the feet in the court.

In the first set, Maniel Bains was on top and played quality strokes from the base-line, as his challenger was looking defensive from the starting the match. Aqeel was looked a bit under pressure. Aqeel did well in the second set but could not control the situation, as the Englishman was not allowing him to come at net to play strokes. He lost the second set at set-break at 7-5.
