Sultanabad Union snatch quarters spot
LAHORE Sultanabad Union put up fine show in tie-break session to enter quarter-finals of the All Karachi Taj Muhammad Abbasi Memorial Football Tournament at Korangi Green Stadium, Korangi. They outkicked Jalal Murad 5-4 on penalties after 0-0 at full time.
Sharafis Jalal Murad turned out to be luckless outfit as they fumbled penalty kick besides other eight sitters and during penalty shoot-out, they suffered defeats at the hands of Gizri Youth. Sultanabad also missed several chances and most of their goal attempts were parried away by Jalals keeper.
The referee for the match were Iqrar Hussain, Muhammad Usman, Chaudhry Iqbal, Muhammad Kamran under match commissioner Wasim Uddin.
