Zimbabwe confirms pull-out from Twenty20
August 21, 2008 DUBAI (AFP) - Zimbabwe will not be participating in the Twenty20 world championship next year in England, officials at the Dubai-based International Cricket Council confirmed Wednesday.
The announcement rubber stamped a compromise worked out at the ICC's conference last month, under which the strife-torn country retained full membership of the ICC after agreeing not to send cricketers to the 2009 contest in the UK.
