PCB inks Rs 750m deal with Dubai Sports City
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER September 24, 2008 LAHORE - The Pakistan cricket has found a home venue away from home in Dubai at a time when majority of the international teams are refusing to visit Pakistan on security grounds.
The PCB, in a deal worth Rs 750 million, would play a number of series and matches at the Dubai Sports City for three years, which surely gives the Pakistan team a chance to face teams like Australia, South Africa, England etc to respond to foreign insecurity as the major issue of traveling to Pakistan. The deal would also help the PCB meet the losses it sustained due to the postponement of the Champions Trophy.
However, the deal would get the final stamp of approval after chief patron President Asif Ali Zardari appoints the new chairman of the board.
