Decision a relief for cricket fans, says Malik

LAHORE - Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik has pointed out that his team has never been given security of the level Pakistan provides to the foreign players coming here.
Talking to journalists after attending the cricket Committee meeting, he said that there was no security concern in Pakistan.
"Pakistan is safe for any cricket activity and there is no concern whatsoever. The security we provide here was never given to us in other countries," he added.
"The holding of the Champions Trophy in Pakistan is very important for cricket and country and should not be linked with security. Things are safe here," he added.
He further said that the training camp at the military training college in Kakul is a healthy practice and it has raise the level of fitness of the players.
"The players fitness improved last year after they went through training at the camp in Kakul for the first time. After the camp there were very little injuries and it is a good practice," he added.
He said that the team will be playing three practice matches at the Gaddafi Stadium before leaving for Toronto to play the four-nation twenty20 Tournament.
"There will be one t20 match and two 50 overs on 5,7 and 9," he said.
