LAHORE - Pairing with USA's Hope Sam Querrey, Pakistan's top tennis star Aisam ul-Haq Qureshi stormed
into the Indianapolis semifinals with aplomb, conquering the American duo of Robby Ginepri and John Isner in
the quarterfinals.
Coming into this vital encounter, the American duo were flying high after having overcome the second seeded
British/Australian pair of Ross Hutchins and Stephen Huss.
But Qureshi and Querrey disposed them off 6-4, 6-4 to rustle up a facile win as they marched to the business
end of the event.
Maintaining good discipline on their own service games, and not allowing any gaps to the Americans to probe,
Aisam and Querrey pounced on the break point opportunity to take the first set with consummate ease.
Unrelenting on their own serves, Aisam and Querrey ensured that the second set was a replica of the first. Again
the lone break of serve decided the set 6-4 in Aisam and Querrey's favour.
In the semifinals, Aisam and Querrey are pitted against another giant-killing pair of Latvian Ernests Gulbis and
Russian Dmitry Tursunov - the two who showed the exit to the third seeded Americans Eric Butorac and Scott
Lipsky.
