PUNE (India) Former Australian captain Steve Waugh is actively involved in charity work in India. However, Sharne Warne, who has been earning through playing the IPL matches in India, has no such immediate plan. This was revealed by leg-spinners brother Jason Warne.
Jason Warne will be assisting his brother in a charity work in his country.
Speaking exclusively from Melbourne, he said, In regards to whether or not the foundation will be able to do work in India in the future, I am not sure as I am not yet across the legislation that the foundation operates under.
As you have heard, I will be coming on board at The Shane Warne Foundation, starting next week, as a general manager, he said.
In fact, Jason Warne was a pioneer in helping Shane Warne to establish the foundation. I was instrumental in setting it up back when I was managing Shane, he said. I am looking forward to the role again and building on the efforts of the others that have been in the role over the past six years. The foundation is very important to Shane and he spends a lot of his time assisting where.
Jason has been following Indias IPL matches and was happy that his brother-led side (Rajasthan Royals) won second successive match on Wednesday night. It was indeed good news that Rajasthan won their second match last night, hopefully they will now build upon the past two victories and make the finals, Jason said. I was lucky enough to travel to India for the first IPL season and watch a few games as well as the finals, it certainly was a great experience and enjoyable watching the Royals win. Unfortunately, I dont think I will be able to make it this year, hopefully next year I may be able to and this year, I will just have to follow it closely on TV, he added.
