Asif applies for visa after IPL invitation

KARACHI  - Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Asif said Monday he had received an invitation from the Indian Premier League to have his B sample test which enabled him to apply for Switzerland visa.

"We did not have an invitation from the IPL and that was why we couldn't apply for visa. Just today I received an invitation from the IPL and that invitation would enable me to get a visa as soon as possible because the invitation said that I should be given visa promptly," Asif said.

The 25-year-old paceman was given until July 28th (today) to have his B sample test in the same Swiss laboratory where his A sample tested positive earlier this month.
