ISLAMABAD - Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra), on Monday, in its letter to the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources (MP&NR) has asked for a strict action against PSO over fleecing the consumers with additional burden of 77 paisa in per litre price of high speed diesel (HSD) oil contrary to the notified prices of POL products for first half of August.
Well-placed sources aware of the development informed TheNation that Ogra which is supposed to protect the rights of consumers had now come on forefront had asked for severe action against Pakistan State Oil (PSO) over non-compliance of its notified price of HSD while charging the consumers in its letter to the Petroleum Ministry. The regulator has also asked for the implementation of its notification and requested the masses not to pay extra money over the purchase of diesel oil in the market during first fifteen days of August in the country.
