KARACHI - The officials of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan and representatives of Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA) held a meeting Saturday for resolving the issues of the leather exporters.
According to the statement, Chief Executive TDAP Tariq Iqbal Puri assured full support for facilitating the development and exports of leather sector, especially to stop the smuggling and mis-declaration in export of wet blue leather.
In this connection, he said that the FBR will be approached for checking the exports by unscrupulous elements.
Tariq Puri also directed the concerned Division of TDAP to take urgent action on measures suggested by PTA for controlling the mis-declaration and smuggling of pickle and wet blue.
S M Naseem, Chairman PTA, S.M Muneer, Chairman of Din Group, Naseem Shafi and Gulzar Firoz also attended the meeting.
