ISLAMABAD - The power shortfall in the country on Sunday jumped to 4,200 MW as the total generation was recorded 12,800 MW against the demand of 17,000 MW during the last 24 hours.
According to report on daily power generation and load-management position, the hydel generation stood at 5,542 MW, GENCO 1,732 MW and IPPs 5,526 MW. HUBCO was supply 900 MW and its unit 2 was on annual schedule outage while PAKGEN, Lalpir and Saba power plants were also out of system due to shortage of fuel supply.
