People resent over Rs 13/pkg increase in LPG prices

Citizens across the country have condemned the massive increase in per kg prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). The consumers were of the view that they were already in trouble due to low pressure and loadshedding of natural gas and now government was further adding to their miseries.

They said that in the ongoing circumstances, increase in LPG and commodities means to snatch right to live.
People residing in up country would be hit worst by the increase in LPG as they were already paying 10-20 rupees additional on per kg of LPG against other cities of the country.
It should be mentioned that price of LPG has been increased by Rs 13 after implementation of petroleum levy.
The Ministry of Petroleum has implemented petroleum levy by Rs 11,486 per ton. After this, the price of LPG would be Rs 150 per kg while the price of domestic cylinder has reached Rs 1,750.
It was the second time during the recent months that the price of LPG has been increased.
On the other hand, the LPG distributors spokesman said that implementation of petroleum levy would be challenged in the court.
