LAHORE – NUST Science Society observed the day as ‘Wear it Pink Day’ and organiSed “Breast Cancer Awareness Session” in collaboration with Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust and Cancer Hospital. Dr. Ayesha Riaz was the guest speaker for the session. She shared with the audience some very informative and eye opening facts about pink ribbon campaign-awareness about breast cancer. She specifically talked about Pakistani women and stressed that since the issue is not brought up openly, many women reach stage 3rd and 4th of breast cancer which increases the number of deaths from it. The speaker also provided dietary tips which can be consequential in cancer prevention.
