RAWALPINDI - Japanese business community is reluctant to invest in Pakistan owing to deteriorating law and order situation.However, the situation is not bad as much as being portrayed by media. Japan Embassy would take every step to promote bilateral trade relation with Pakistan, said Ambassador of Japan Hiroshi Oe while talking with the business community during his visit to the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) here on Wednesday.On the occasion, RCCI President Jawed Akhtar Bhatti, senior vice president Raja Amer Iqbal, vice president Chaudhry Iqbal Ahmed, Group Leader Najamul Haq Malik and other members of the Chamber were also present. Ambassador said that Japan would assist Pakistan in technical support and interaction between the business communities would be enhanced to boost the bilateral trade. He said that Japanese companies were already working in health, education and energy sector of Pakistan and mutual cooperation will be enhanced in future.Speaking on the occasion, RCCI President Jawed Akhtar Bhatti said that Japan must transfer technology to Pakistan and increase its investment in the country. He said that trade volume between the two countries was around $2 billion and it was need of the hour to take solid steps to boost the business activities between Pakistan and Japan. Bhatti stressed that visa facilitation must be provided for the business community to further strengthen trade relations.
