ISLAMABAD  - Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has initiated action against tax defaulter industrialists on Wednesday.According to details, in the first phase of action cases have been registered against 12 textile industries involved in tax theft. FIRs have been registered against the owners of said factories and raids were being conducted for their arrest.
The said factories have allegedly cost billions of rupees to national exchequer through tax theft.
FBR sources said that names of the factories and industries not paying tax and involved in evasion would be made public within couple of days.
